Appearance - Nadira inherited a rubenesque build, her light brown complexion and a pair of lively grey eyes with a tinge of green from her Amiri mother. From her DaGuerrian father came a dusting of freckles over her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, and a thick, bright, golden-red head of hair. The young halfbreed stands at 5'7" and has what appears to be a fairly solid build.

From the neck down, she pours her body into largely unassuming DaGuerrian garb-- a modest blouse and jacket over a corset, a slightly bustled skirt and ankle boots, although she also dons her mother's traditional Amiri head scarf, thus concealing her hair for the most part. Thanks to her unconventional appearance, Nadira tends to stick-out like a sore thumb.

Personality - A study in contrasts, Nadira is constantly trying to fit into life in the Royal City while attempting to maintain and hold onto certain elements and traditions of her mother's culture, even though she has no actual memory of the woman or of the city of her tribe. She's stuck between two cultures, neither of which are willing to claim her.

In order to cope, Nadira's become a rather pithy and droll individual who frequently has some smart observation or comment about everything and anything. Because of this facetious trait, she can come off as cocky or not able to take anything seriously, even though that's not actually true. She's conflicted about her heritage-- she's both proud of it and ashamed that she lives in an in-between-place where she can't just 'be herself' with most individuals without repercussion. The one person with whom she can be herself, her father, is often off on expeditions, thus, she ultimately feels quite lonely.

Unfortunately, Nadira also tends to have a short fuse, and, justifiably so, has no time for social and/or cultural prejudices, but she does have a fortitude of spirit and is greatly persistent in most endeavors.

History - Destined for hardship despite being the heir to sizable assets, Nadira was born to a father of DaGuerrian heritage, a Ranger by the name of Ezra Goldsmith, and her mother, an Amiri woman from Al Datsa whose name was Nahdra Assahani. Despite being under the threat of ostracization from her tribe, Nahdra and Ezra married, and, shortly after, the couple realized their family would be growing in several months. They attempted to settle in the Majai enclave for at least the duration of Nahdra's pregnancy, but when it became apparent that even the simplest of lives was going to be made near impossible for the couple, the ill-fated lovebirds struck out on a journey to Ezra's home in the Royal City. Nahdra fell ill along the way and never entirely recovered by the time Nadira was born, and in her already weakened state, she passed away a few days after giving birth to her daughter.

Nadira grew-up having, to put it lightly, a tenuous relationship with paternal side of family, as outspoken relatives were dissatisfied with the fact that a mongrel stands to inherit the ancestral family estate. On top of this, her father would leave for long periods of time for work, leaving his daughter in the care of rather kindly, however somewhat doddering, governess.

Even though Ezra is sitting pretty on a comfortable sum of old money, he expects his daughter to pull her own weight. Currently, the young woman holds odd jobs to make money-- the lady who did the bulk of raising Nadira did teach her how to paint, and she's been known to sell her artwork for money now and then (although she prefers not to do so unless completely necessary), and she'll take people on paid tours of the city. She also rents rooms in her father's house as a means of earning money, but can only do so when he's off on an expedition.
